As I continue to be energized from the excitement of recently reaching MANAGER status with Lifemax, I want to share with you some of the things Len and I have learned about this business in only 6 weeks.
It is important to be excited and passionate about what you do. People considering a new part-time business opportunity can be moved by the passion of those around them. Passion is key to keeping things going - if you take the word passion and break it down (and add a “t”) you get “pass-it-on”. Remember, if you are not passionate about your business, products and services then you’re going to have a difficult time passing it on (or selling it) to anyone else.
Like any business or anything in life, you may have a “low energy” day and that is perfectly fine. Use this time to read, reflect and make plans for your business. Even if you feel particularly worn out some days, it does not mean that your internal passion or fire within, has left.
Surround yourself with the best people you know. Associating with positive, successful, motivated people can be contagious and can do wonders for your life and your business. There is always so much to learn from others. Also, be open to meeting new people. When attending seminars, do not prejudge. You will be surprised by who may give you that next spark or gem of an idea to further improve your business. Similarly, do not prejudge someone to whom you are considering showing the Lifemax business opportunity. You really don’t know what is going on in someone’s life and what each person is truly thinking; surprisingly, often the people you assume won’t do well with network marketing, go on to become the biggest distributors!
On the flip side, don’t let the negative, unmotivated naysayers affect you. Realize that they have their own issues to work on and ensure that you don’t let them drain you. Opportunities present themselves on a weekly basis so try to seize them and enjoy your journey of progress.
Take the high road. Run your business and your life with honesty and integrity and you will never go wrong.
YOU can accomplish anything if YOU:
1. Clearly decide what you’re absolutely committed to achieving.
2. Take massive action to achieve the goals and results you’ve committed to.
3. Pay attention to your actions. What’s working and what’s not? Continue to
change your approach until you achieve your goals.
Educate yourself. There are so many great books, audio resources and mentors out there to help you learn and improve your business. Make a promise to yourself to learn a few valuable things every week. Get together with your colleagues from time to time to share ideas. We look forward to sharing information on a consistent basis and are planning some get togethers for the upcoming months.
We're quite excited about the remaining months of this year and know that we all have a lot to look forward to. Aside from all of the exciting things going on at the clinics, I can see everyone doing some amazing things with their Lifemax business.
Keep up the great work everyone!

THE BALL IS DEFINITELY ROLLING AFTER OUR FIRST MONTH WITH LIFEMAX
August 17, 2009
As we look back at the past month, we discover that the most meaningful changes sometimes come from unexpected, seemingly unremarkable, or even un-welcomed sources. What first could have initially appeared as a distraction, nuisance or perhaps an outright disaster, just over a month ago when we were first introduced to the Lifemax business opportunity, turned out to be the BEST thing that could have happened to us this year. It shook us out of our routine, allowed for new possibilities to enter, and presented the opportunity to rise above our previous sense of how things should be, what we are capable of doing, and who we are.
The results so far, speak for themselves; in just one month, we have signed up four gold memberships, four silver memberships and one platinum membership. As this is written, our immediate downline is busy building their business as well. For only five to ten hours of weekly efforts in this business, we have excitingly welcomed cheques amounting to an amount over 2600 US dollars! Not bad for doing something that both energized us and gave us the opportunity to either meet new people or establish new levels of relationships with people we already know.
This month’s events have truly been gifts of grace, full of encounters with extraordinary people. The important thing to recognize, is that we chose to embrace the potential awkwardness that network marketing can often create, and in doing so, we began to drop our egos that vehemently opposed any non-traditional means of business. This has led us on the right path toward growth.
In essence, what we have learned so far is that:
1.Network marketing is really just educational marketing - the idea of providing valuable information about a product and opportunity
2.This type of business should never be painful, but contrastingly, should offer the excitement of personal growth and financial growth with a sense of enjoyment
3.Anyone who enjoys learning from others, being creative, embracing new things, and helping other people, can likely experience great success in this model of business while reaching new heights of personal potential
We can clearly view our first month’s experiences in network marketing as very positive ones, that have driven us to rethink our established, fixed way of seeing things, and help the transformation from stagnation to movement; from limitation to expansion. This process leads to change and growth, which is the basis of all business and all aspects of life.
The enlightening book, Beach Money, states that gradual growth in network marketing is the most important factor. Just one new membership per month ensures great rewards. We’ve entered this business with a big bang - 9 sign ups! We definitely feel the momentum and even if we follow the rule of one sign up per month, we have a sense of contentment; anything above and beyond that is just a bonus!
In summary, our first month with Lifemax allowed us to experience insights that are elevating, useful and enjoyable. Clearly, we’ve outlined all of the rewards of personal growth we’re experiencing without even mentioning the important health benefits that we’re enjoying simply from eating Mila on a daily basis; this is yet, another inspiring topic we’ll save for an upcoming blog post. It has been a blast and we look forward to moving forward with this same positive energy as we enthusiastically facilitate and witness a similar transformation in all of our associates.
Until next time, think about this...
“Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve” - Mary Kay Ash
...or as Ken Blanchard more comically put it:
“Don't quack like a duck.. soar like an eagle”

Energized by the founders of Lifemax!
We are very grateful today for having had the opportunity to meet the founders of Lifemax, Jim and Sherri Wear from Orlando, along with Rod Druyan (Canada’s first Director) and his wife, Gitit Shoval, in their lovely home in Thornhill. It was truly a beautiful day with the sun popping in and out of the clouds while we were enjoying a delicious lunch in the backyard and learning all about Sherri’s and Jim’s experiences and their big vision.
The impression of Jim and Sherri that we had beforehand, through our reading and our upline distributors, was exactly what we saw up front and personal - they truly are a blessed couple whose positivity, good humour, and genuine care for people is noticeable from the second we were introduced to them.
Jim and Sherri have the ability to see far ahead and are always at work planning all the steps required to reach their destination. They shared with us that they have learned a great deal this past year about chia’s properties and benefits, and about network marketing, and people in general. Having just finished their summer tour, they will incorporate all of the feedback they have received, into their company’s plans to have the most up to date technical and marketing tools available, helping all distributors reach their maximum potential. They believe in gradual, everlasting growth with a prepared plan rather than big bursts happening without any infrastructure to accomodate quick growth.
Jim and Sherri have clearly looked beyond success, achievement and performance as indications of their life’s mission. They showed us today that every moment of their journey is lived fully and with love. They are examples of two people who gain a sense of joy and inner harmony knowing that they are helping fulfill others’ dreams.
As Michel de Montaigne put it: “The great and glorious masterpiece of man is how to live with purpose.” If this is true, then the founders of Lifemax are a perfect example of revealing to us the masterpiece of man!
Sherri also reminded us today, through the story of her son’s desire for a dog, that the true key is the desire within you - if you can picture it, you can manifest it. Literally, act as if that which you desire, is already here for you.
The spirit of God is within us all of the time and when we can use this to serve the people around us, we will be able to see the true miracles in our journey toward prosperity.
Ron Druyan and his wife, were equally inspirational. Their insights and strengths in the business world have allowed them to use this unique network marketing opportunity to their advantage. Their ability to attract like minded distributors is amazing. Their downline members are very driven and shared many great ideas with us today. We thank them all and especially, Ron and his wife for hosting such a fun and successful meeting.
Our surprise treat at the finale of our get together, was a beautiful rendition of “Greatest Love of All” sung by Gitit Shoval herself and the piano being played by Ron. Bravo! Lifemax certainly is a class act organization with talented, energetic, life loving and inspiring members.
Cheers to the next meeting!
and remember... "Life is too short not to be happy, and life is too long not to do well."

Intentionality and Lifemax
July 9, 2009
Being introduced to Lifemax has been the most exciting new direction we’ve taken this year. Not only does Lifemax have an incredibly valuable product in which we believe, but the support and genuine care for the company that each excecutive member and high performance distributor exhibits, is a sure sign of the ongoing success to be seen as we go forward.
At this time, we would like to say “Thank you” to Nick Lomangino, our immediate upline member, who as a long time colleague of ours as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialist, approached us with this new opportunity and clearly outlined all of the advantages that both the product and company offered to him. His refreshingly calm, and no nonsense approach to business was truly appreciated.
Another sincere “Thanks” goes to Chris Prefontaine, the first Diamond Rep of the company, who has done a wonderful job answering all of our tough questions about both the product and company. We enjoyed his informative webinars, his three way conference calls and also his direct person to person seminar which he was able to graciously deliver after driving to the GTA all the way from Rhode Island. Chris’ ability to provide all of the details, to relay his personal message, and to share all of his positive energy, was more than impressive and we look forward to gaining further guidance and inspiration from him.
We’d like to give our final and equally important expression of gratitude to our first downline member, Dalton Ballantine. Dalton has been a long time associate who brings to the table a vast array of talents - we look forward to seeing him shine as he steadily expands his own business, while growing as a person in such a new and exciting way!
At this very start of our exciting journey with Lifemax, we’d like to talk a little about the powerful idea of INTENTIONALITY. Having clear intentions of where we want to go is the true key to achieving our goals. Do you have a clear vision of your ideal and do you appreciate the power of visualization?
Life presents us with small and large challenges on a daily basis and those who succeed, can break through all barriers presented to them only if they have a clear vision of what they desire.
“All I know,” said Arnold Schwarzenegger, “is that the first step is to create the vision, because when you see the vision there—the beautiful vision—that creates the ‘want power.’ For example, my wanting to be Mr. Universe came about because I saw myself so clearly, being up there on
stage and winning.”
Where do you see yourself in 6 months... or in one year? Look at your upline members, listen to the stories of those around you, be inspired by people who are achievers, formulate your vision now and keep that vision very clear throughout each and every day that passes by. Wake up each morning with the question “What will I do today to ensure that I reach my vision?” The power of INTENTIONALITY is your most important tool in propelling you to new heights of success!
If you have not addressed the issue of fear yet, it is time to confront this demon NOW. To ensoure that we reach our goals we must shed of our fears of failure and push ourselves forward without any type of fear blocking our way.
“Ultimately, fear of failure generates a vicious circle that creates what is most feared. To break this cycle, you need to make peace with failure. It isn’t enough to merely tolerate it; you need to appreciate the failure and use it... Body mind masters have made peace with failure, treating it like an old friend playing a practical joke. The greatest inventors, artists, and athletes have all failed many times. Babe Ruth was the home run king of his time, but also the strikeout king.” ~ Dan Millman from Body Mind Mastery
In the popular Nike commercial, Michael Jordan, one of the greatest athletes ever shares this strong message about failure: “I’ve missed more than nine thousand shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
All of the very successful people we’ve met and read about, have has less fear than most people. They know the importance of failing before succeeding and their lack of fear has enabled them to “go for it”.
As David Viscott puts it: “In the end, the only people who fail are those who don’t try.” - this is truly what we believe - there would be nothing worse than spending the last moments of your life knowing that you didn’t even try!
In summary, we’d like to declare three important affirmations with you:
We are grateful for the opportunity to grow with Lifemax and look forward to this exciting journey.
We have a clear VISION of what we want to achieve in 6 months and in a one year period.
To the best of our abilities, we will put all fears aside as we enjoy helping others do the same.
Until the next post, we’ll leave you with this famous quote:
“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is sort of a splendid torch which I have a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it over to future generations.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
